Yet another reason (as if we need one) for Yuschenko (and his Orange allies) to be thrown out of office. His status as a 5th colomnist and provocateur is now unmistakable, and he needs to go. Go Yanukovych in 2010 election!

It is probably true that it was not only the Ukraine which had it's whole food production stolen by Stalin and his minions in 1920 - 1922 - and so it is not genocide perhaps - but it was a monstrous theft and vile cruelty. I want to see Russia on the best of terms with all her neighbors, not only for moral reasons of facing the truth for the sake of one's own sense of dignity, but because I want to see Russia safe behibnd her own borders and safe especially from the constant threat of the insane Americans - and such horrible people as Kissinger and Brezhinski and the rest. eg. Hilalry Clinton! I want to see the Ukraine and Bellarus and all those who feel they were hurt by the USSR given the sympathy they are due so that they will be on Russia's side, against those who would lilke to harm her.

Ukrainian security services themselves admitted that Russians did not carry out the famine. http://jta.org/news/article/2009/06/15/1005888/jewish-group-objects-to-holodomor-lawsuit And it did not just happen in Ukraine it happened in Southern Russia and Kazakhstan were just under half did outside of Ukraine with most who died in Ukraine in the Russian East. So the 6-7 million number is actually those who died as a whole. And it happened due to pressure to meet western export quotas. If he wants to moan and complain about a real famine, he should bring up an economic one engineered by his boss George Soros after the fall of the USSR.

Parts of Europe have made a very bad mistake criminalising Holocaust Denial at the behest of the Israel Lobby. No matter how dangerous the people publishing those ideas, banning the discussions played into the hands of other bullies playing the victim.

@ johnx, agreed. I saw a map of the 1930s famine and drought areas, and it was a wide swath of territory across Kazakhstan and into northern China. I've never heard how many people died in China but I'm sure it was a significant amount. It was horrible in Ukraine and Kazakhstan, and the bureaucracy made it a thousand times worse, but I don't think it was genocide.

Andy Dyer In fact, the policy you mentioned is has now become the norm not only in Europe but in North America as well even as Europe is spearheads for the falsification of the events in WWII – such as the EU/US attempt to equate the heroic reeds of the Red Army who liberated Europe from fascism to the actions of the troops and the leadership of the Third Reich. Europe is in a state of moral and intellectual chaos at the moment.
