A Greek TV channel is reporting that local police are searching for five Russians and two Greeks on suspicion of carrying out contract killings.
The Greek investigators say the criminal group has killed at least three immigrants from the ex-Soviet republics over the past four years.
All the crimes are said to have been related to illegal trading in tobacco, alcohol and oil products.
According to the TV channel, the nationwide search has turned up nothing so far and police are preparing to apply for an international arrest warrant.
