Global warming could pave the way for a boom in commercial shipping across the eastern Arctic. Use of the Northern Sea Route, which links the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, would save companies time and cut fuel costs.

Well They had Russian Icebreakers there 'just in case' and were using a highly sophisticated Satellite imagery to guide themselves through the ice-flows. That is the only thing that has changed. Global Warming stories are already very tiring since I had no summer what so ever. Give me a break. Fight pollution, not global warming.
