Georgia says it is ready to enlarge its military contingent in Afghanistan to 700 troops later this year. The country has also offered its territory as a route for the supply of arms.
Mikhail Saakashvili tries to leave an impression on the Georgian people that he made the decision to "voluntarily" send more troops to enforce the American occupation of Afghanistan. This is another case of Saakashvili lying to his own people. Saakashvili had no choice in the matter since he had sold his soul to the devil in order to become the president of Georgia, and the Devil came knocking on his door. The "Rose Revolution" was sponsored and financed by America, and now Saakashvili must pay his dues in the blood and lives of his people both in Afghanistan and in Iraq. The Georgians will eventually learn that America always comes back asking for more and more dues. - The demands America makes on the Georgian people will never end. That is the fate of all nations who get too close to America.
What Georgia wants is NATO having Georgia's back when it tries to retake South Ossetia and Abkhazia in the future, and hopes that Russia will not do anything against the aggressors because Georgia will be in NATO. Thats what I think is Georgias plan
@ Kihnu Ok.....so is this the Devils fault, Saakashvili fault or America's fault?.....I don't know, I'm just asking a question regarding your incredible comment.....lol The reporter said, "A NATO dream"....well that is a NATO dream that has a very good chance of coming true, much to Russia's dismay.... But....we shall see so let's not get to emotional about this....
Is this Jimmy Carter's Georgia {peanut man} or is it our Georgia in Europe? Got to be specific because the usa has two Georgian states.
All that this perpetual Georgia bashing achieves is to reveal the rampant paranoia and deep seated insecurities of the Russian government. Georgia is a tiny nation that is and always has been a million miles from NATO membership. Sending a few hundred troops to Afghanistan is not going to change that. It might, however, provide useful combat experience to the Georgian army, which is Georgia's prerogative as a sovereign nation. RT's continual denouncement of Georgian democracy under Sakashvilli is both boring and utterly hypocritical. I've seen the billboards in my city, RT, and am waiting patiently to "question more" but with output of this quality, it is proving rather difficult.
Nelson, "...reveal the rampant paranoia and deep seated insecurities of the Russian government." How is this comment of yours relative to the posts on this board? "It might, however, provide useful combat experience to the Georgian army, ..." What kind of "combat experience" would a Georgian soldier learn in enforcing Obama's occupation of Afghanistan? Perhaps you are referring to the experience gained from watching American troops terrorizing and killing Afghans, as they did a few days ago when they killed a dozen Afghan women and children? The only experience the Georgian soldiers would gain in Afghanistan that they can not get while being trained in Georgia is giving aid to a comrade whose face was blown off, or putting a dead comrade into an American provided body bag. Saakashvili sent Georgian troops to enforce Obama's occupation of Afghanistan only because he owes America a debt for hoisting him to the presidency of Georgia.

He should send at least 7000 Georgians to prove his loyalty to the Masters, Afghanistan is gonna become needier for cannon fodder as time goes on.
