Survivor of Gaza aid flotilla recollects deadly raid by Israeli military

More than a week has passed since the deadly attack of Israeli forces on a humanitarian cargo ship destined for Gaza. Former U.S. Marine Ken O’Keefe was onboard the Mavi Marmara ship and recalled the attack.

“The Israelis started coming up on the side of the ship, but they were not able to get onboard the ship from the sides,” said O’Keefe, managing director of Alohapalestine.com. “Then a helicopter came and they started fast roping down onto the deck of the ship and it became very clear that it was not going to be an easy journey into Gaza.”
