The time is past due when Israel should be held responsible for its continuous violations of international law. It has proven time and again to be a lawless and trigger happy country that is a mortal danger to peace in the region. No country in history, not even the Nazis, have been as brutal gangsters against innocent human beings as Israel. The civilized community is outraged at Israel's criminal behavior and needs to bring her into account in an special international court of justice. Israel's aggressions against Palestinians and against its neighbors in general cannot be tolerated anymore. Unfortunately, Israel is able to continue its lawless and criminal behavior because it enjoys the protection of the superpower that considers itself beyond the reach of international law. How can Israel commit so many crimes and yet continue living as a normal nation is beyond imagination. And yet the Israeli rulers wonder why the real international community considers their country an outlaw state. Israel must know that the outrage against her crimes have reached intolerable levels, even in the United States--the polls show it--notwithstanding the insipid claims of an unshakable friendship between Israel and the United States.

International condemnation? I have just watched the latest news on German TV. The most neutral presentation of the events one can ever imagine. No comments whatsoever, to say nothing about any assessment or, god forbid, condemnation. CNN is reporting about the attack as "breaking news", however keeps adding the word "presumably" to the description of the cargo: "presumably humanitarian help". I can imagine the wording and its loudness if, say, Russia did something even slightly resembling what Israel has just committed. Anyway, there surely will be no consequences for Israel.

A "Humanitarian Aid" ??? - in the form of Hammas terrorists, armed that fired at Israeli soldiers doing their job according to law! (the blockade is according to international law) If you attacked armed soldiers with guns, knives and clubs don't be surprised if you get hurt. - I bet Russian soldiers could have solved it much better, with zero tolerance.. (I am not cynical)

America refused to shoot even a single Latino peasant breaking through her borders, while Israel does not hesitate to kill people bringing humanitarian relief to a blockaded Palestinian people. Which nation will survive?

This is a massacre that only the Pentagon generals would cheer. America will not take any serious actions against Israel because America has been killing Muslims since it invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, and the American people have grown accustom to the scenes of dead and mutilated Muslims. Remember that the US did absolutely nothing when the US spy ship USS Liberty was attacked. The US simply stood by and buried its dead in silence, refusing to take any punitive actions against Israel. Thus, if America would allow Israel to kill Americans without any serious response, America will either ignore this massacre or lodge a mild meaningless protest. This massacre is an opportunity for America "The Beautiful" to show her real face to the Palestinian people and the Muslim world.

Israel's plan was simple, shoot 1 or 2 peace activists to push the rest to attack back then blame them.. yet CNN, FoxNews, BBC are using this ridiculous points to cover up for Israel like usual.. but how can they explain shooting people in international water? they are pirates!!

The nation that ordered this horrific massacre is the only nation in the ME with nuclear weapons. I want to anybody to tell me today that the State of Israel and the United States do not represent the greatest threat to peace and security in the Middle East. In face of this horrific crime, I will not doubt Iran will think twice not having nuclear weapons. Israel is running concentration camp in Gaza and the world does not care. Only these activists did and many are dead now.

The International community needs to put Israel in its place once and for all. Because the United States government is bent on starting wars in the Middle East they will do nothing to one of its partners who helps in creating continual conflicts in the Middle East.

With this massacre, the Zionist state burnt its bridges with Turkey, which has been more friendly with this pariah state than its Arab neighbours. The Zionist state is turning into a dangerous entity. Obama and the U.S media will try to spin this crime away but it will not work.

To Kihnu America "The Beautiful" has shown its real face not only to the Muslim world, but to the world in general (or as they put it "the rest of the world") a countless number of times. And so what?

"This is a massacre that only the Pentagon generals would cheer." Really? A Massacre? What are you smokin? "America will not take any serious actions against Israel because America has been killing Muslims since it invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, and the American people have grown accustom to the scenes of dead and mutilated Muslims." Apparently Muslims are getting used to it too. Seems to be more death attributed to IED's and Suicide bombers than from Amerikee, yet you remain silent. Silence is consent. This massacre is an opportunity for America "The Beautiful" to show her real face to the Palestinian people and the Muslim world. So if I get this straight, these people were warned over and again not to touch the fire and then they do and get burned. Had they stopped do you think anyone would have been hurt? They took a defiant risk in their actions and risked injury and death. Now they have suffered for THEIR decision to do this.

My great friend Jim posted the below on RT several days ago: quoteJim May 26, 2010, 17:39 The continued illegal blockade of Gaza is both shamefull and sadening. It is particularly shameful that rich and powerful nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia do little if anything to relieve the suffering of the Gazan people - an impoverished and persecuted population by anyones standards. The Israeli government have been allowed to act beyond the bounds of international law for far too long, so much so that they now feel free to act with impunity when it comes to 'national security matters'. This attitude is particularly dangerous for the people on board these boats heading towards Gaza. One thing that the Israeli government fear greatly is uncontrolled, independent and 'free' reporting. I therefore hope that the people on these boats have access to live satelite broadcasting equipment, as live feeds of any Israeli action against the boats will serve as a deterant for heavy handed and / or illegal action.

Kihnu May 31, 2010, 17:56 quote

Israel would never have taken this action without American tacit approval and support. American meddling in other nations affaires has brought nothing but catastrophe to many peoples of the world. It was America that poisoned Vietnam for decades, if not generation, with its Agent Orange and napalm. It was America that bombarded a defenseless Serbia for 78 days and threatened these people with total destruction of Belgrade if they did not bend to America's wishes. It is America who is poisoning Afghanistan and Iraq with it's depleted uranium munitions and residues from tens of thousands of bombs and napalm. It was America that totally destroyed the infrastructure of Iraq driving 4.5 million Iraqis into refugee camps. Its is America pushing NATO and her missiles right up to the borders of Russia. The face behind this Israeli piracy is America. Without American arms, financing and diplomatic support, Israeli would not be the rogue military force she is today in the Middle East. America used to be honored and respected by the world, but this all changed when the Pentagon generals began to dictate the international policies of the US during the Vietnam war. America lost her soul and mission somewhere in the mid-1960s. I am afraid that the good America of the past, that was a beacon of hope to the rest of the world, is gone for ever.

@Fritz Yes humanitarian aid. the ships were also filled with foreign activists including some MPs.There were 28 Britons on it too.Where the MPs gun running too? This is the typical statement of Israel and its supporters, always hiding behind the hamas for their own criminal actions. Hey guess what? The Britons,Germans, french, Turks,Italians and that's just the friends of Israel do not agree with you and deploy the actions of Israel. The US response has been mild as expected. The British foreign sec,Mr Hague (and thank god is showing that we are no longer lap dogs of the USA) Was very blunt and even said "This news underlines the need to lift the restrictions on access to Gaza in line with UNSCR (UN Security Council Resolution) 1860." I bet this situation would not have involved Russian soldiers as this act is below the norms of human behaviour, and no country in this world except Israel would even think of it. Israel has no respect for international law.Attacking a humanitarian aid convoy is nothing new to them.we saw it last time they invaded Gaza. But in international waters? that is a new low.

Listen, Israel wanted to help Gaza and deliver the supplies to there. But there is a concern that in the ships there was Weapons. The army told the ships he will give the supplies to Gaza. But before that, all he asked was to check the ships and see there is no Weapon on it. When the soldiers entered the ships the activists started to attack them with poles, knifes and nightsticks. Before the soldiers react to the attack- they tried to get down from the ship- after the activists didn't let them- they respond, but only to stop the fighting.

Fritz May 31, 2010, 22:06 quote

The question if the blockade is needed or right is another question - if Hammas leaders say that they will try to get as much weapons and use it against Israel, and they refuse to even negotiate for peace but to keep fighting - what other choise Israel is left in order to prevent Hammas to get heavier weapons? By the way, by international law, if a ship is in a clear line and heading to break a blockade you can intercept it before it's reaches the national water, (so it's legal to intercept in international waters, like what probably happens in this incident) For more reffernc on the Egyptian & Israeli blocade: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/06/17/AR2007061701357.html
