Russia’s Supreme Court has turned down former Prime Minister’s Mikhail Kasyanov’s appeal against his disqualification from the Presidential election.

The Central Election Commission barred Mikhail Kasyanov from the race after more than 13% of signatures in support of his bid were discovered to be invalid.

This means the number of candidates due to take part in the March 2 presidential election will be four.
