Thanks Alex for your insight on minoities. Truely enlightening. Half wits like you are the reason race hate continues. People are people. It never matters which nationality they come from. Extremist views whether spouted by religious leaders or politicians fuel hatred towards people who are different. Whether black or white, gay or straight, muslim or christian, its always the same. There will always be people like you ready to listen and believe any nonsence, and the volume of neo nazi groups in Russia makes it all too obvious that there are plenty of people willing to exploit your stupidity. Lets see how many of these neo nazi thugs will be sentenced and jailed for their hate crimes in the future weeks and months, and how much publicity it will have in the Russian and world media.

It is high time to crack down on any hate-based violence. And it is not enough to just hit it hard by law enforcement and judiciary. It is very important that the thugs of all nationalities and creeds do not get the sympathy from any quarter. Education system needs to get into the high gear to evaluate the causes and the enablers of hate violence. More work needs to be done in various communities to insure the involvement of all those with stake in preventing the violence. Much more needs to be done to prevent glorifying the skin-head mentality. It has been indirectly tolerated, as a manifestation of desirable "westernization" by some circles --- intentially or not. It is very important to insure that large employers also invest in educating employees on tolerance and violence prevention. Workplace may be the only meaningfull forum for a good information exchange among adults. In short, the policy of tolerance, human rights and non-violence is not just the job for police and courts. It is everyone's job.

Of course Westerners will immediately attack Alex, never lived with people from these regions. Immigrants need to respect the laws, culture, and values of the nation to which they move. Something almost everyone in the West forgets as they try to cater to sensitivities of everyone. It has nothing to do with race as these are uneducated people who follow their traditions of kidnapping women for marriage and they thieve as if it is normal behavior. They teach the locals how they want to be treated. Skin head responses are not an answer, but proper immigration and laws. It is more offensive if someone outside your home comes and disrespects you than if someone within your home does.

Joe, do not talk about a country which you do not know! Better look in your own, or former republics of the USSR. Have you been there, do you know how they humiliate the Christians there? Where is publicity, man?

Does a prison sentence in Russia provide punishment or is it a revolving door for criminals who enjoy better conditions than most seniors? Just asking because prison time in western countries has become a joke. They have their law libraries, gymnasiums, color television, pool tables in the units, top notch medical and dental care for free, free prescribed drugs, free college education if they choose, Miranda rights, three square meals every day, conjugal visits, etc. I could go on and on with the list. Some choose not to leave when their time is up and a state van has to carry them away from the state prison. Sound like a good life for losers?

Genetic discrimination is the driving force of evolution. It is the core of the immune system. It is what distinguishes humans from the food on their plates. It is here to stay! Humans are in the process of speciating (forming new species) as evidenced by different races. Love and hate (Xenophobia) are normal human behaviors that act in concert to promote human speciation. Love promotes unity within a gene pool (a race) while hate keeps gene pools apart (races apart) thereby promoting speciation. If it were not for hate different races would randomly mate (mixing all human gene pools into one or a few) preventing speciation and stalling evolution! Multiracial countries like the US are disturbed and socially discontent – they are full of hate. Antagonistic co-evolution between races in multiracial countries produces hate/discontent which in turn lowers their productivity. Reduced US productivity coupled with increased consumer consumption led to a downturn in their economy which triggered the current global financial crisis. US discontent also manifests itself in on the world stage as seen by US foreign policy. Russia should not waste time playing the “human rights game” with the West. Instead Russia, like China, should focus on her people - their growth, stability and prosperity. To minimize hate Russian politicians should not mix races. The future belongs to those hard working racially homogenous countries whoever they may be – Russia, China, Japan, India etc.

There are different courses to these racial problems, One un-helpful aspect within Russia was Putin’s rallying of a nationalistic youth they are under the banner of NASHI or as I like to call them the “Putin youth” these fresh faced uniformed kids are used to promote Russia, also helping in community projects, They are also used in a political way protesting at foreign embassies for example Estonia over the bronze soldier the British embassy over the British council dispute. They are non violent they idolise their master and do the states bidding. Unfortunately when you promote a nationalistic fervour amongst the young you activate darker forces those that can not be controlled these young men and women show there national pride in violent ways. Russian Slavic youth have been viciously attacking minorities; in the end these people have no choice but to defend themselves, especially when a nationalistic government offers little or no protection.

@Roger Bascom Hate crimes happen in USA too, but not at such a regular basis as in Russia . And Btw India can't truly be considered a homogenous, as Indians are of many different races like Tamil (which I am), Telugu,Marathi, Bengali,Punjabi etc united as a nation .

I am a black american who would like to visit Russia and perhaps one day call Russia my home. I have always been fascinated about Russian culture and history. It was Russia who sacrificed more than any other country to help defeat Hitler and his criminal, racist regime. It fascinates me that there are Russians (mainly Russian skinheads and right wingers) who PRACTICE and FOLLOW the ideology of Adolf Hitler still to this day. My opinion of this is that these Russian skinheads and right wingers are the Russian version of the third reich. It makes Russia look very bad to many people like me who don't preach hate, who don't attack and beat people up because they look different, and who don't commit criminal and terrorist acts. I hope that the two great leaders of Russia will address these issues and provide security for all its citizens whether they have white skin or not. I hope to make that trip to Russia one day, and I will continue to monitor the skinhead movement in Russia. Russia needs to know that black people are not your enemies, but your friends. Russia knows who their TRUE enemies are. And lastly, it is stupid to think that you can only have your own kind and not MIX people together. We live in a global economy and society and every person has a right to experience all of God's creations on this Earth. Minorities are not bringing down Russia. Try looking at those who are benefiting from this hate like some Russian politicians and special interest groups. Also, President Medvedev should introduce STRONGER legislation making hate crimes punishable by death and labeling some hate groups as terrorist organizations. I am praying for you Russia.
