Eight terrorists killed in Dagestan raid

Suspected militants have been killed overnight in Russia’s republic of Dagestan, police report. They got caught in an ambush by police in a forest not far from republic’s capital Makhachkala.
“On the suggestion to surrender, the militants responded with refusal and started armed resistance. During the combat action, 8 militants were eliminated,” a respresentative of the local federal security service stated.
Two of the alleged terrorists have been identified. At the scene of the operation three handguns, two rifles and two flame-throwers have been found.
It’s also been reported, that foreign contractors could be among killed militants. The number of those and their citizenship is yet to be established.
