President Medvedev has said that talks on a new climate treaty that are underway in Copenhagen should not lead to a “witch hunt”. He said there has been unfair pressure put on countries rich in hydrocarbons.
Two or three aspects of climate change: 1. Will so-called developing nations like China and India invest some of their new-found wealth, which they have made at America's expense, on their own green technology? 2. What other nation has a right to request that American's risk it's economy and standard of living to adhere to an emerging science? It's not America's fault that they use so much resources and energy. WE WORK HARD FOR OUR STANDARD OF LIVING. 3. Last, the United States has been working on alternative energy sources for a long time.

“The upside is that the business community is coming to view the energy saving industry as a source of income and learning how to make money from it.” - Full marks Medvedev - Thanks!. So please just keep talking, a few nice roadmaps and concepts, just keep warming things up with hot air, whilst we carry on doing what is best for Russia, China is doing a great job in the ring with us, they always have the dollar nuclear weapon to release, so they can do what they want. So let's talk science, aligned positions, forecasts... and carry on making Russia better. Energy efficiency and a clean environment through normal planning is the way to go. Leave the politically funded scientists on their grants feel some real hot air, whilst on their collomial crusade. Let's help ourselves and 77 others, thanks to China with its finger on the dollar thermonuke.
