Eight Indian tigers and an African lioness have died while being carried by a truck to a circus in Yakutsk, East Siberia. Police said the animals were poisoned by the vehicle’s exhaust.
High time to BAN use of wild animals in performances. This cruelty to earth's creatures proves that humans are not good stewards of the earth, and the mess we made on this planet is simply proves it. It is one thing to have animals in a zoo, where conditions can be regulated for their habitat, these kinds of operations are notorious for abuse. Time to ban this practice, and the time is NOW.
What is going to be done about this incident? Some person or persons must be held accountable for this tragedy. There is no excuse for this! Putin, is an animal lover and he should get involved in this matter to ensure that the proper punishment is delivered.
Far too much animal neglect and cruelty goes on. Those responsible for this atrocity should face harsh punishment. Twenty hours travel in freezing temperatures, while being exposed to toxic exhaust fumes, is simply not acceptable. How was this able to happen without anyone noticing these cats were in difficulty ?

Wild animals should live freely in their environment and not be used as toys by humans. If we do not respect other species living on this planet, this mean that we do not respect ourself either. Those animals will be extinct soon and mankind will quickly follows. What to expect of such a nuisible creature who think to be so smart !!! Before the industrial revolution, the wild world was relatively stable and well balanced; look at the mess made by humans in the last two centuries. Sorry Future Generations; you may have no real beauties to watch, soon. Sincerely... Jean-Claude Meslin
