Do you remember my story about Roma and his salad? I planted salad too.
Well, planting is not the exact word, of course. There is no soil in the greenhouse. The floor is covered by a special material fed with water. It’s like spurring the seeds by covering them in soft tissue.
A question I foresee – which way do they grow? It’s simple. The plants go for the light. There is a lamp in the greenhouse working 24 hours a day. So the sprouts try to reach for it – upwards.
My “vitamins” already have sprouts. We had a conference with scientists about this experiment. They wonder on Earth why the seeds have grown so quick and so fast.
When I planted salad, I found some wheat seeds left over from some previous expedition, and smuggled them to the greenhouse to plant too. They seem to long for the light so much, and now they grow very fast. :)
