Church suspension merely bullying

On Saturday evening 24 September, I became aware through a Finnish tabloid newspaper and a friend's phone call that the cathedral court [lat. Domus capituli] of the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Church in the city of Espoo, Finland, had proclaimed a new judgment against me: I have no right to use the special priest’s clothing during the next three-month period. The cathedral court told their judgment to the press rather than directly to me. I ask, of course, “so what?”

The new sentence does not imply any change in my situation, which began in April 2011, when the cathedral court stopped payment of wages and my rights to work as a priest. “This three-month period” is some kind fake sentence: it does not mean that the church would offer a job and then salary to me. Our bishop is now retired, and he decided to make a final decision before his retirement. The public notice was just bullying against me.

In the current situation I regret a lack of understanding: the cathedral court, the bishop and even the Finnish Foreign Ministry do not understand this bad reputation that comes against Finland in the international community, which is much more responsible in relation to terrorism than Kavkaz Center or its front organization Finrosforum in Finland.

The cathedral court judged that I would have committed “inappropriate behavior” as a priest, because I connected Kavkaz Center website and its suppliers to terrorism. According to the cathedral court I would have “worked inappropriately”, too, because I prayed publicly at the memorial moment of 3 September 2010 of the Beslan school tragedy that evil and unclean spirits would leave Kavkaz Center and its propaganda. The Evangelical Lutheran Church wants to give diplomatic immunity to these evil spirits: the church is more interested in tax revenues and public image than in the issues of sin, hell and Satan, which are not any longer the greatest issues in our Church.

I regret that the devious stories of the cathedral court and the Kavkaz Center are spreading in Finnish media: they would like to turn the readers’ minds to “Molari’s troubled personality, because he disturbs the journalists of Kavkaz Center by demanding its closure”. I am a troublemaker. The biggest problem with the Finnish media is, however, a lack of courage – the lack of investigative journalism in Finland. Kavkaz Center’s supportive structures are ranging to the top of policy in Finland. The policy of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland is a co-operating with the fanatic group Caucasus Emirate.

The Finnish press has interpreted the new conviction as Michael Storsjo’s victory over me. Storsjo’s Kavkaz Center is denounced as a criminal fanatic website by Russian prosecutors, who urged Russian security services to take steps to close the website down. Several Finnish political figures are defending the actions of the Caucasus Emirate and its web resource Kavkaz Center. Michael Storsjo is well-known for providing internet resources for Islamist terrorists. He is co-operating closely with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, the special advisor to the Foreign Minister Tarja Kantola (the head of Storsjo’s front organization, Finrosforum) and the Minister of Development Heidi Hautala, who are defending the actions of Kavkaz Center in Finland.

I've written in my personal blog in Finnish that some peculiar arrangements for few political refugees, Kavkaz Center’s activities and the activity of the Finnish Foreign Ministry are consistently supportive of hatred and attacks against Russia. But it is a public secret, not right to say openly! Mr. Storsjo was prosecuted for organizing illegal immigration for extremists from Chechnya through Turkey to Finland. In fact, Storsjo recruited extremists and ex-fighters so that in Helsinki these people would work for the web center of Doku Umarov and his close partner Movladi Udugov. According to police investigative papers, for example, Islam Matsiev, one of Chechens recruited by Storsjo, works full-time as webmaster for Kavkaz Center. Matsiev has told his close relative was one of the Chechen terrorist leaders and he took part into the fights together with this uncle. In 2009, Mr. Matsiev and Mrs. Tarja Kantola held a public conference at parliament house in Finland.

A few days ago, Interpol’s internationally-wanted Aslambek Hanchukaev spoke to Georgian TV. He was presented as “the representative of the Chechen society” in Finland. The interview took place on the roof of Michael Storsjo’s office in Helsinki. And another man – Islam Mahauri – traveled to Finland with the help of Storsjo’s illegal immigration. He said that his brother is "secretary of defense" to Doku Umarov, and he himself facilitated for Umarov's fighters.

In Finland, almost all people are silent about the risk. I have received several threats from these extremist ex-fighters and their friends abroad, but according to the church and human rights activists, I would be worse than Doku Umarov’s friends, because I do not fight against Russia, and I have no political confrontation against Russian political leaders.
