RT photo / Sara Firth We were filming today in a suburb of Damascus where the Free Syrian Army have control. The FSA told us they were there to protect the people who had turned out to protest. They've now had control of this area, we're told, for around three weeks. Thousands of people came out onto the streets for a massive demonstration and a funeral….. How the hell do "Freedom" and "peaceful" protesters get weapons like a aug and ak47 without help from a foreign entity? Who IS really behind these protests?
Ak47s or Missile Launchers like those so
Mrs. Firth, please explain why you mention "massive protests" but, instead of showing us tens of thousands of protesters, you offer photographs showing just a few hundred of them and, among those, many armed people. This does not look like strong public support for the opposition. It looks much more like an armed rebellion by a group of extremists. I understand you might be trying to please those rebels in order for them to spare your life and continue your courageous coverage. Thank you, but hopefully, when this is all over, you will be able to tell us the whole story, clearly. Please take good care of yourself since there are very sick people out there, consuming a lot of drugs, obsessed by some obscure version of their religion, who do not seem to mind about killing journalists.
I hope Syrian people will have good future and more freedom and more understanding by their rulers . It's similiar story like Egypt , rulers must understand what people need and want from goverment . Here we're closed to Syria and see syrian people want to change , want to decide for their rulers and their future . I hope near future Russian , Turkish , Iranian and Arab people will understand eachother more then before .
