A joint US-Canadian mission is venturing into the icy Arctic waters to map the seabed of the Canadian Basin. The data is to back both countries’ claims to the oil-rich shelf, but they haven’t agreed on how to divide it.

Canada needs to call too many men on the ice! Canada is going to get robbed big time here by the US, and the bit I don't understand, why they are helping the US oil companies pump them dry. Canada shouldn't be a division of corporate US.

The Arctic should be left in it's natural state. The world is using too much oil today and should be drastically rationing oil products while converting to other more environmentally friendly fuels. Once the Arctic environment is damaged it cannot be changed back to it's natural state. Greed should not be allowed destroy what nature has provided. We can all live with less.
