I guess that he never heard that in an emergency, you stick steel wool in the hole. That will even stop a rat, usually. The glue traps are great too. Cats work. And pit bulldogs really put the hurt on rodents, and maybe the neighbors you don't like. Get a lot of insurance with those dogs.
