Secret cargo aboard missing ship?
Published: 11 August, 2009, 10:25
The “Arctic Sea” ship which disappeared in the Atlantic was carrying a cargo of timber worth nearly $2 mln and, perhaps, a “secret” cargo says Mikhail Voytenko, editor-in-chief of the Russian maritime bulletin Sovfrakht.
Well, it cannot be coincidence that the boat is first hijacked for 12 hours in Baltic Sea and then it disappears. Since it is unlikely that anybody would be interested in official cargo, ship or the crew, the only conclusion one can make is that ship was carrying something veru valuable. I hope FSB both figures out what it was and then goes PUBLIC with the info.
Im not sure what it is but something just doesn't sit right with this whole thing. Im curious to know exactly what was on board, mind you if the ship was searched for 12 hours and apparently nothing taken then clearly the hijackers couldn't find what they were after. So it wouldn't make sense for the same party to be involved with the ships dissaperance if they knew what they were after wasn't onboard, which to me would imply that whatever cargo that ship was supposed to be, maybe its drawn enough attention that quite a few people are after it. Im curious to know what it was at any rate, though i doubt we'll ever know. Just how does a ship vanish from radar without trace anyway? I'd like to know updates on this to.
Well one things for sure, there are no pirates in European waters, try some government agency. My opinion is the west are trying their hardest to provoke war with Russia, The US sunk the Kursk, they torpedoed it. The war with Georgia was provoked by the US, we all know that. this is just the latest incident.
The port of Pietarsaari Jakobstad is a free open area without any real surveillance and you can load and unload what ever you want. It used to be a common place to buy vodka and sell rotten motorcars to russians. Now you can imagine all the possibilities theres if you want to transport interesting objects somewhere...
“A vessel carrying a cargo of timber cannot sink. I transported timber for many years, and I know for sure. Even if the ship did sink, the timber would be floating all over the sea,” he said. Not true. There are ships that sunk more than a century ago in Lake Erie that were carrying timber and people have made efforts in recent years to salvage that timber from those wreck sites. Apparently, that timber is highly sought after by violin makers because of the properties of the wood, after having been submerged in those cold waters for all of those years.

It's nice to know there are crazy, tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists across the pond as well. Look out! I think I see a silent black helicopter hovering behind you!
