Gay and lesbian activists have gathered near the Russian embassies in New York and San Francisco to support Russian homosexuals. American gay activists are protesting against the violence during the gay parade held on May 27 in Moscow.

They oppose the ban of a gay parade in the Russian capital set by Moscow authorities.

To be more productive they are calling for a boycott of “Stolichnaya” vodka, a popular Russian alcoholic product.

The ban is supposed to be active until Moscow authorities admit the rights of minorities and permit Russian homosexuals to hold protests.
