Top UN, US, English and European scientists colluded together to defraud, lie to and terrorize the public through a fake environmental crisis, Texas-based radio host Alex Jones told RT.

Thank goodness a few people are still willing to speak and think for themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if suddenly one day soon alex jones dies in a 'plane crash' or he dies of some form of poisoning where there is no deep autopsy performed.

O.k. so where's the evidence? Seriously? This is it? A radio-host claims that there's something wrong? Wow! What a surprise! C'mon people. Sure, there's all these scientists around the world and they're all plotting together on how to fake all this data and then what? To what end exactly? Because if this is a plot to stop us from driving big, heavy cars and instead drive something that makes us less dependent on foreign oil and maybe prevents the next big oil-spill in the gulf! Those evil scientists! Or maybe they're trying to bring down the American economy, right? Yea, kill the American car, but then why are American researchers finding similar results? Because they hate America too? Really? Surprisngly enough most climatologists hate America and wanna see its economy collapse so less money is spent on education, therefore they work less, get less money, what a brilliant plan that is! Grow up people, this is getting sad, there's no evidence that shows that there is some nefarious plan by all these scientists around the world to fake this whole controversy.

By golly, if I'm going to unquestioningly relinquish the reins of my opinion regarding the most important issue facing the whole of the world in this era, it's going to be to a Texas-based radio host. Screw scientific method and source citation - who has time for that anyways? The word "hackers" gives this article all the credibility it will ever need. Yes. That was sarcasm. Just want to make sure we're clear on this. And to 'A Person' - if that is indeed what you really are - The real conspiracies going on around us are so mundane and ubiquitous that we all participate without thinking about it. Things like, for example, making the questioning of authority ridiculous by association with nutbars who lack critical thinking skills. Just saying.

Personally I do not care if it's true or not. You should always take care of your environment, global warming or not. We cannot keep polluting our natural resources, we cannot infinitely rely on finite fossil fuels. We have to change our ways for the sake of our children and the planet we live on, global warming or not.

It was faked to give the human race an enemy other than itself. As long as we are pre-occupied with this farce we are not so busy picking on each other. You see evolution requires a competitor and for too long the human race has had none. This causes stagnation. We NEED a threat to keep on advancing and if we dont see "climate change" as the common enemy we will soon go back to killing each other on a grand scale. .We are doing a pretty good job of doing that despite being side-lined by this con.. Imagine what it would be like without a "common enemy"..WW 3 anyone?

ok, so maybe a conspiracy is possible, who knows ? we've seen others ... but, come on, a texas-based radio host suddenly has all the answers ?! what are his sources ? who are these 'hackers' ? a complete waste-of-time article

Just Google Alex Jones ... he is a complete, conspiracy-obsessed loon. I think he checks under his bed for Illuminati every night.

You can read the emails on your computer and make your own judgement of what's what. And what I read says fraud quite loudly. Just "forgetting" about that spell in the Middle Ages where CO2 was something like four times what it is today and you still believe Occidental Al Gore, the only occasional and not very good science student that's hoping to become the worlds first 'carbon billionaire' saying the world's ending? It's a lot more than that though and it's not even a well put together 'theory', and that's all it is, a theory. Sourcing numerous 'facts' from WWF magazine, calling them peer reviewed and the list goes on and it's quite long. Follow the money like in any sham, scam or crime and things clear up a bit, for me anyway. And then there's the 'computer models'. I can make one that says the friggin Rapture will happen next Thursday or anything else. Add in the long history of sanctioned 'crisis' that always seem to tell us we need big help right now, rub a couple of brain cells together and think for yourself. And say it is all true, you really think the government is capable of fixing the climate? As in the worldwide climate on this rock we're riding? You gotta be kidding.

Yes, I seem to recall reading about that somewhere, now that you remind me... > It's a lot more than that though and it's not even a well put together 'theory', and that's all it is, a theory. Actually it is, and I donna think that word means what you think it means. A "theory" is science's informed and tested guess based on available information and experimental observations. For example, it is a theory that we require oxygen to live, but it is also possible that the Flying Spaghetti Monster considers breath holding to be an abomination unto his noodly tentacles and punishes those who defy him by turning them blue and smiting them dead. > And say it is all true, you really think the government is capable of fixing the climate? Aw, you're right. My bad. Let's ride this bomb to Hell instead of making an effort. As we hunker deep in the Earth's crust, away from the unceasing hurricane winds that dash the surface into an untenable hellscape, at least we'll be able to take solace in the fact that we were able to burn just that much more fossil fuel. It's a beautiful vision.

Heard of the icepacks? Or what about dendrology? Or Mass-spectrometry? These are but three of many ways to detect ,AFTER THE FACT, the concentration of materials in a specific time and place. I'm not saying you're wrong about Paladin2's warped view of the scientific meaning of "theory". I'm not saying Paladin2 is right about his statement that there were higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere in the middle ages. Partly because he doesn't specify a more specific timeframe. Not even if it were in the Early Middle Age, The Dark Middle Age or the Renaissance Middle Age.
But I am saying that both of you have valid points. Cap And Trade? It's a scam alright. A global one. The idea of having a cap on CO2-emissions is a good one. Trading it with all its loopholes of selling "unused" or "cleaned" quotas is the worst scam I've ever heard about

We should try to find better alternate sources of fuel than we have today. Actually, the best fuel I know of, is to get a diesel car, go to your nearest fast food restaurant(s) and get its/their used deep fat frying oil, clean it and put it on your tank. A diesel car will run on frying oil without ANY modifications whatsoever, and the emissions are EXTREMELY low. And you're saving both the restaurant(s) and yourself money.

I'll be a bit more accurate than Paladin2 here and state (perhaps erroneously) that in 1625, the Thames was frozen solid. A few years before, and a few years after can be referred to as a "miniature ice age". The Thames has not been frozen solid since. And also in Britain, during the Roman Empire, it was warm enough to grow grapes. It's not that warm today. (BBC's Connections for the grapes. I won't bother finding out which episode, because it's such a good scientific series, everyone should watch all of it)

Personal observations in my lifetime has been this: We have less snow, and it isn't as cold in the winter. I can remember when I was a child, we had 3 meters tall plow-edges on the roads, and though not common, we had days, even weeks of temperatures below -20C. Sometimes below -30C too. Summers don't seem to be as warm as when I was younger. Is this natural or man-made? I honestly can't say. Noone can at the present. We know there are changes in the climate. But we can't say why. Sunspots? Natural cycle? CO2? Mining? Shipping? Rockets? Coca-Cola? Cows farting? People leaving their fridge open? NOONE KNOWS!!

But we can all agree on this: Burning carbon for fuel isn't good for us. It leads to respiratory diseases, it leads to social inequality. We can also agree that the carbon we release into the atmosphere has been on this planet all along. Perhaps a few tons have dropped in with asteroids, but nothing more than equals a glass of water in the ocean.

Global conspiracies. Do they exist? It is possible. Are they paranoid delusions? It is possible. Everything is possible. When people say something is impossible, what people should read into that is: We don't know enough at the moment to do this. I could say that crashing two atoms together is impossible because I don't know enough to do it. But at LHC in CERN they do, so I guess it's possible.

For all anyone knows, Alex Jones here could be the one with the answers. Is it likely? No. But IT IS POSSIBLE.
