So Rothschilds will never die now? That's sad.

And the Rockerfellers, the Bush's, the Clintons, all those that will have the money to buy the stuff in two years. It's better to know what is on the other side after letting this body go back to the dust. That is the real world.

Even if it were real it would be bought out and buried by big pharma. The world elite already have longetivity treatments, has nobody else noticed that technology has stopped for the general public aside from getting a bigger radiation box for your pocket?

The drug companies will hate this. It'll screw up their profits on all the other pills they've developed to treat everything else. They'll either attack his findings/trials, buy off politicians to make it illegal or scary/dangerous, or buy it out and charge an astronomical price. Mark my words.

Well, this russian scientist should've been aware of something that works for over 55 years, called GH3 or Gerovital, invented by Romanian dr -scientist Ana Aslan for whih she got nominated for Nobel prize in 1960's!!! The Rothschilds, Clintons, Stalone(did you see how he looks at 65?) and hudreds of other movie stars and head of state have been usig this product or treatments in Romanian clinics with great results!! By the way, Dr Aslan died at 92, no wrinkles and no greayhair, using her own product! She died breaking her hip and never recovered! And yes,FDA is been trying to ban that ever since!!!!! Big pockes that Medical industry!!

I'm with you all. And I especially enjoyed and agreed with James, but remember to take your antioxidants in fruits, veg, and supplements. It prevents disease and these plants were all designed by the Creator to enhance life. So it's really not in the hands of the few. We have to fight for our rights to this planet and organic agriculture to turn back the hands of time.

I forecast in 2008 that a compound that retards the aging process giving between 7 and 15 extra years of healthy life would reach the market in 2015 to 2020. My forecast as regards the time frame is at the bottom of the page at http://drjohnty.com/Exponential_Growth.html based on this article it suggest I am pretty much bang on! If I stick my neck out and hazard a guess, my estimate for the timescale when we develop an actual cure for aging lies somewhere between 2100 and 2150. It might be sooner than 100+ years but doubtful because we need to understand a great deal more of the underlying processes and human metabolism which is an area of knowledge in which we are currently not very strong. Having said that this development if proven to be correct is a massive step in the right direction. My opinion is that this study is a significant breakthrough because if correct it confirms just as was the case with Rapamycin last year that various compounds can and will be developed which will extend lifespan. Clearly, treatments to slow aging offer a means to buy time for healthy individuals under the age of say 65 in the short term. They are, in effect, a lifeboat but they are also essentially a dead end and should be seen only as an interim step. If, however, we can develop them relatively quickly they are definitely worth pursuing because they provide a lifeboat to more robust therapies. We won't know for sometime how important this compound is but lets hope our optimism is justified.

I don't know what radical life extension would feel like once it arrives but I certainly want to find out and I think 200 years might do for starters.

Not really. One bullet through the head and they're eliminated permanently. That is of course true until some scientists invents/finds a cure to bring back the dead which is unlikely to happen in the next couple of years. Will we ever be able to bring back the dead ? I think so but not for another who knows how many years/

The best longevity bearers I know of are resveratrol and eklonia cava
seaweed, along with eating sweet potatoes. Go read up on them!
Mr. Burns of the Simpson's will be thrilled to have a much better
longevity solution than milking and robbing the poor of their body parts
and material livelihoods. Still, I am wary of the demographic effects on
the natural environment, that will surely be over-eaten again, when we
discover that few people are dying, while the poor are still breeding,
all due to a brilliant Russian scientists success.
