Poor Saakashvili, his dreams of being the second coming of "David The Builder" have been shattered. He must now spend all his time convincing the Georgian people that he is faultless in the insanity he exhibited on August 8, 2008, when he launched the war. Saakashvili has been the master puppeteer of the Georgian people since he came to power with the funding and support of America, and now he must use all his manipulative skills to remain in power. The Georgian people deserve better leadership.

I saw the Russian Ambasador to America on the Charlie Rose Show (PBS) last year.He tried to point out the agression of the Georgian State in the recent conflict. He also pointed out that America and Russia have NEVER been at War with each other, have been allies at various times in the past. That much better communications are needed between the 2 countries to help solve the problems in the World. I believe he was sincere, and his statements are self evident in their logic. The Cold War wasted 40 years and countless trillions of dollars as arrogant leaders postured and put the World at risk over rhetoric that we as a world can no longer afford. Our two Nations could lead the world into a new era of cooperation and rational ways to solve the worlds problems.Perhaps a joint space mission to Mars would be a great symbolic start that would yeild huge benifits in technological advancements,as our competitive programs did in the 60's and 70's.It would also give both our peoples a goal that would bring us closer as we all watched and worried about the welfare of the crew and the excitement of their dicoveries and achievments. For too long powerful interests in this world have bled our peoples dry creating war and mistrust.while they got rich. Our differences are tiny compaared to how much we are all alike.Americans are just in the past few years being told of Russia's role in WWII (The Great Patriotic War). The price that Russia paid in the lives of her people far exceeds the combined losses of all the rest of the Allies.Few Americans realize that the largest, bloodiest battles ever to take place in all of history took place on Russian soil.It is time for all the worlds press to start to seek and publish the truth, and no longer be the mouth pieces of meglomaniacs.I have met people from many countries and always found that we had common ground to comunicate and break bread with each other. It's time to tell these self serving "Leaders" to serve the citizens of the world or get lost

"It wasn’t Russia who started the war, it was the Georgian regime of Saakashvili who attacked South Ossetia and also which planned attacks against Abkhazia. And now that the Russian military bases are deployed in Abkhazia to protect the population and the peace in the region" – This was a risk the U.S took with its pawn(georgia) trying to complete its long game of encircling Russia with pro democratic country's and it totally back fired and Russia had all the right in the world to now defend its self and put military bases in the area. this has set the U.S game bac to a stale mate in the region for who knows how long and is probably a big reason Iran has not been attacked. haw haw to the corporation UNITED STATES. yes it is a corporation you can find it listed on Dun and Bradstreet. wake up America.
